Marley is working on a big poop right now and it is so cute! She is grunting and pushing and making a bunch of funny faces. Love it! Great intro huh! HAHA. She has been sleeping 8 hours now!!! It's nice but she wakes up much earlier now. When I get home from the gym at about 6:30 she is wide awake talking up a storm in her crib (or in bed with daddy). She is talking so much now! She is just so grown up all of a sudden. Everyone always says that every age is great, but I must say that since she has been about 4 months it has been so much fun! She is so fun to play with and really plays so good on her own. She is still the chillest best baby ever by the way and only cries when she is hungry but even then she has learned to trust that we will feed her and very rarely cries anymore. Okay, so I just went to change her and it was probably her biggest blowout yet OMG! I through away the onesie because it was all up her back...which is crazy because she was sitting up right in her exersaucer. Hate to think about what that one would have been like if she was in her carseat!
Okay back to the fun stuff. Marley had her 4 month check-up a couple weeks ago and she was 25 inches and 14.5 lbs. Her head grew the most...went from 30th percentile to 70th percentile. All brain im sure :) She had to get more shots but this time it was a breeze because I gave her the tylenol before hand! This is something every mom should know to do from day one...what a difference from the first time! The doctor told us that she is ready for solids but we had a dietician come to the house later that day who educated us on the reasons why to wait until 6 months and so we are waiting. Starting them before 6 months can supposedly increase the risk of diabetes, plus it is just best to keep feeding Marley as much breast milk as possible for as long as possible. I have already been having a very hard time making enough milk so if I can just make it to 6 months I will be happy and then we can start her on solids and I can take a break!
Although Marley has mellowed us out a lot, we somehow continue to stay very busy! In these pics is one of our trips to the beach with Chris and Lindsey. Here is a pic of Greg, Scott and Melissa in the San Diego Mud Run...I hurt my knee and couldn't run the race but they are letting me apply my entry fee to the next one is the fall! Here is also a great family pic of Lori, Kayla, Jeff, Nancy, Ryan and us all at Lori's house last weekend for an early Easter! That was a lot of fun. It is nice having some family close by, but it also just makes me realize how much I wish all the other family was close enough to see Marley more often...she is just growing so fast and I feel bad they are missing it. Especially now that she gets a huge smile when she sees a familiar face :)
