Where does the time go? You would think I would have all this time to journal and read and cook...all the things I always thought I would do if I had time off, but I still find myself trying to catch up in my journal! The last couple of weeks have been busy with random stuff. I've been crazy with trying to get things cleaned and organized to make room for baby. Her room is coming along nicely! I put up some cute curtains and repainted an old dresser to go with her brown and pink theme! We had a 4D ultrasound last night which I was hesitant about, but it was amazing! And now I know for sure that she is a she so I can actually take tags off stuff, wash it and put it away! We are 29 weeks as of today and so I was hesitant because I had always heard how alien-like they look this early because they have no fat, but I think she looks pretty good :) Greg wanted the ultrasound so bad...he told me he was feeling a little left out because I get to feel her inside me that he really, really wanted to see her! I couldn't say no to him...I am just so happy he is so into his little girl. Even the woman at the ultrasound place said that she was impressed that Greg called and made the appointment because it is usually to wife that is dragging the husband there.
She has my upper lip for sure and Greg's nose. Well actually, it's greg's mom's nose! We learned that she is already head down so we wont have to worry about her being breech and having to have a C-section which is good. I was shocked to find out that where I thought her feet were was really her butt!!! She must have turned recently because I used to feel hard kicks where her butt is now. Unless that was just her shakin her booty the whole time!

I wasn't shocked to see that she was already sucking her thumb like mommy :) She looked so cozy and happy. Greg even exclaimed during the ultrasound "look shes smiling!" I didn't have the heart to tell him that baby's can't smile until they are a couple of months old :)

After the ultrasound, we headed to San Clemente to meet Scott and Melissa for some mexican food! They are such great friends :) They went to Oregon a couple months ago and brought us back an OSE Beaver onesie....so cute! They live in Laguna so its perfect for us to meet in San Clemente becaue it's only about a half hour drive for each of us and it's a super cute town. During dinner Greg and I were raving about our (really MY) new favorite place in the world, Frugos the self-serve frozen yogurt place by our house that I have to go to everyday!!!! Ironically enough when we walked out of the restaurant there was a frozen yogurt place right across the street, so of course we had to go! Usually I just get plain vanilla because its so rich and creamy AND it non-fat! Greg loves to mix vanilla with grahm cracker and strawberries, so we shared a big one of those! Scott and Melissa did what any first-timer self-serve yogurt goer would do....loaded up with a bunch of fun toppings like oreo, peanut butter cup, sprinkles....

Last weekend was the first weekend in awhile that Greg and I didn't spend the whole weekend doing some sort of project and just relaxed all weekend long instead....and it was so nice! We went to the pool and read our 'Great Expectations' book together. We are getting ready to start classes so we are reading up on what to expect before and during labor so that we are somewhat prepared for the classes. We spent all day Sunday at Lori's house for Jeff's 49th birthday. We ate a ton of food and then played poker until about midnight which was a ton of fun! I hadn't stayed up past 8 in awhile! The next day was labor day and we took the bug for a cruise down to Oceanside and then to Trader Joes to pick up some fresh veggies and pita bread for Greg to make Kabobs! They were delicious. We sat on the back patio and listened to Norah Jones and sipped out of wine glasses...greg had wine and I had lemonade that I made from our lemon tree!
