Today is a typical gorgeous day in San Diego. I am just relaxing inside organizing pictures and cleaning the house, etc...while Greg is outside building a new front patio!!! With slate...i love slate! I got a new patio set already to put on the front porch once it is finished. It was at Albertsons of all places for 65% off which made it $300 for a teak 5 piece patio set!! And it is tan and red...our colors!
We have been doing a lot to get ready for the baby! Last weekend Greg painted the baby's room. He actually cleaned out the entire room, picked out the color AND painted! Lemon Souffle!
Speaking of baby, here is a pic of her at our 20 week ultra sound (5 months)! The ultrasound was on June 27th and it was a very good day.
Not only did we find out that we were having a little girl, but we also found out that we were having a perfectly healthy baby girl!! We watched as the ultrasound tech looked at the brain, heart, limbs, facial features...and everything was perfect!We went to register at Babies R Us and Greg picked out our little girl's first outfit :)
At this point in my pregnancy I have already gained 13 pounds! I am eating whatever I want and eating all the time, so I guess 13 lbs isn't too bad :) My only craving so far has been ice cream and I eat it every day! I feel great though! I am finally feeling okay with the fact that I am not working and really enjoying being at home. I think I am beginning to "nest" as they call it.
I am already feeling very maternal and it is a good feeling. Greg took some pictures of me in the nude at 5 months and this is my favorite one because I think I even look maternal. That might sound funny, but it feels good :)
Overall, life seems pretty darn perfect right now. This morning on my walk I caught myself thinking "I am living the exact life that I have grown up dreaming about" and that was a wonderful realization! I couldn't ask for a better husband, we have a baby on the way, we are healthy & happy, we have wonderful friends and family, we live in beautiful San Diego, we have an amazing home, an adorable doggie....I could go on and on. We are very blessed!
